2015 Presidents Message

Dear CPLL Families:

Cambrian Park Little League enjoyed success once again in 2014. Three out of four of our respective All-Star teams played in the District 12 championship game. Our 8/9 All-Star team brought home our first district title in many years. To cap off the 2014 season we hosted the Division 2 All-Star Tournament where 7 teams from around Northern California packed our complex and competed for the opportunity to advance to the Western Regional Tournament on the road to Williamsport.

If you are new to the league, welcome! If you are returning, thank you for your support! Excitement is in the air for the 2015 season. You can expect the fields to be well groomed, the snack bar fully stocked, sponsor signs posted, and players well prepared to experience all the benefits of participating in Little League Baseball. You are encouraged to find a way to help us this season. There will be plenty of opportunities and I challenge you to step up and be a part of this process. It can be fun and rewarding to be a part of the CPLL community. You will make new friends and feel like a vital part of the league’s success.

Every year, CPLL relies on the Cambrian School District and the City of San Jose for the use of the fields for practices and games. This year is no different. I would like to remind everyone of the importance of keeping the facilities clean and secure. Please pick up any trash left behind, secure any open equipment lockers and help the managers and coaches repair the fields before and after the games. Look at some of the other complexes in our district and you will realize how fortunate we are. We host great tournaments every year because our complex is special place. Without the Cambrian School District and our CPLL community, we would not be the envy of other leagues.

SAFETY is our #1 rule. Fortunately we have been without major injury for many seasons and we will strive to continue that safety record. Your child should play hard and have fun, but be SAFE! The Manager is there to make sure that happens at all practices and games.

CPLL will continue to be a culture in which coaches, parents, fans, umpires, and athletes work together to aspire to be an outstanding community based organization by upholding the Little League virtues of character, courage, loyalty, and community.

Be safe, have fun and have a great 2015 Season!
